Harley Museum Ride

The Harley-Davidson Museum ride is coming soon. We’ll leave the Black Diamond warehouse on Friday, June 1, and ride to Milwaukee. We’ll leave at 7:30 a.m. -- the ride is slightly over 400 miles and should take about eight hours of ride time and 10 hours or so to get there with stops and lunch. We have a room block set aside at the Comfort Suites Milwaukee Airport until May 18. Rooms are $89 +tax per night. Call the hotel at 414-570-1111 and ask for the Black Diamond Chapter H.O.G. room block. On Saturday, we’ll tour the museum and take in other Milwaukee sites. We’ll return home on Sunday.

Run For The Wall

Run For The Wall (RFTW) was started in 1989 as an effort by James Gregory and Bill Evans. They were a couple of Vietnam Veterans who traveled across the heartland of America on motorcycles, talking to local radio, TV, and newspapers about the fact that we had thousands of men and women still unaccounted for from all of our wars. The need for this awareness continues today and the RFTW tradition continues every May.

The RFTW will be passing through Mt. Vernon on May 22. Those interested in riding together, meet at the dealership with wheels rolling at 11:15 a.m. The RFTW will arrive at 12:30 p.m. and leave Mt. Vernon at 1:45 p.m.
